I am pleased to extend greetings to those in attendance at the Brain Injury Association of Canada’s annual conference.
This event brings together brain injury survivors, researchers and service providers, all with the aim of lessening the effects and reducing
brain trauma among Canadians. The theme of this conference, “Building Bridges Together,” reminds us of the necessity of sharing stories and
supporting each other in our efforts. Together, you are succeeding in raising awareness and understanding of the effects of brain injuries in Canada, while helping to reduce the number of incidents and their impact.
As patron of the Brain Injury Association of Canada, I would like to thank the organizers and supporters of this event and to commend all who are participating. I wish you an enlightening and productive conference.
His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston
Governor General of Canada
