Traumatic Brain Injury
Traumatic brain injury is when the brain is damaged due to factors that exist outside of the body, including motor vehicle accidents, falls, assault and sports injuries. Traumatic brain injuries can happen at any age, and result in a variety of physical, cognitive, emotional and behavioural effects. Traumatic brain injury recovery can include hospitalization, rehabilitation, and different types of therapy to assist in learning new methods to complete activities of daily living.
